ST. JOSEPHINE RETIREMENT HOME
St. Josephine Retirement Home is a residential home for the aged, the infirm and
the destitute women of the society irrespective of caste or creed. It is run by the
sisters of the Congregation of Daughters of St. Camillus, founded by St. Josephine
Vannini and Blessed Luigi Tezza in the year 1892 in Rome. St. Josephine
Retirement home is situated at Rubber board near Puthupally, 7 km away from
Kottayam town on the road to Puthupally, Madavanpady rout situated near the
Rubber Board. It is an ideal place of “home away from home” with the purpose of
providing holistic care for the elderly destitute women. This Institution enables the
aged women to face this stage courageously providing necessary strength through
proper physical, mental and spiritual guidance. This is a three storey building with
the advanced facilities to accommodate those who wish to spend their third age in
silence, in company with new friends whose friendship will be a moral support and
strength and lead a comfortable, serene and peaceful life with a mhomely
atmosphere. There are 25 self-care units available in the care home. Each unit in
the home can accommodate a single or double that facilitates the residence to live
independently with the comfort maintaining privacy. This home is an ideal place
for all seniors who wish to live a great and comfortable life after their retirement.
This home is an answer to those children who are anxious about caring for their
parents living alone. We the sisters render committed, dedicated and selfless
service with love and care to help the seniors live well their golden days without
